Air yards Buy Low Week 11
I missed a week.
I’ve been traveling the past week or so and missed the Buy Low for Week 10. My apologies. I’m banging this one out on an under-powered laptop and had to drop some features of the model like grabbing consensus ranks (but not anything to do with the core predictive model) because most of that code lives at home and I didn’t push it to an online repo.
It’s been a fun trip. I saw my first Hockey game live. There was a fight 1 and an open net goal. There were no scores on power plays, though, and the Golden Knights had about twice as much action around the net as the Capitals and still lost 2-0. Hockey!
Live hockey is a terrific watch. I especially liked how they display shot locations on the ice in between periods.
I might head out to Seattle a few times this season. I doubt I’ll ever become a true fan (the game is too rando for my taste) but it’s an absolute spectacle live.
I watched the Ravens fall apart to the Browns on Sunday and will be watching them try to pull out a win tonight against the Bengals. Baltimore is 0-3 when I attend (2019 playoffs vs. the Titans, 2022 vs the Bills, and last Sunday), so I’ve been told if they lose tonight I’m not welcome back in Charm City.
On to the Buy Low.
